Aug 16th, 2004 | By critellilaw | Category: Anglo-American ScholarOur 2004 Anglo-American Scholar is Andrew Commins. Mr Commins studies for the LLB (European) law degree at the University of Exeter. He then completed a Masters degree in German Law and Procedure at the University of Saarland, Germany, which was supported through a scholarship from the Deutsche Akademishe Austauschdiendst (DAAD). Mr Commins then spent a year working as a Housing Officer for Bristol City Council before undertaking the Bar Vocational Course at the University of the West of England in Bristol.
Whilst there he was awarded the Diplock Scholarship by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple to fund his BVC course. He hopes to dual-qualify in the future and will continue to further develop his knowledge of foreign legal systems and laws in order to develop an international based practice.
Mr Commins has secured a pupillage at St Johns Chambers in Bristol. His interests other than the law include traveling (with Italy being a favourite), writing, reading, photography, rock climbing and cycling. He may be contacted via email at: andrewcommin@yahoo.co.uk.
Once more, we are ever grateful to Ms Christa Richmong, Students Officer, Honourable Society of Middle Temple for making the scholarship a success and for her devotion to the Bar and the success of its new barristers.
